Day 1: Marrakech Welcome to Morocco! Following your transfer from the airport to our joining hotel in the heart of Marrakech, make the most of your first day and explore the souks and Djemaa El Fna (the legendary main square). Be sure to be at the hotel for the pre-departure meeting at 18.00 where you will meet your fellow travellers. Overnight Marrakech (Breakfast included)
Day 2: Gorges du Dades Marrakech – Gorges du Dades: Leaving Marrakech, we drive through the striking Dades Valley, which extends from the High Atlas to the Jebel Sahro range in the south, to reach the Gorge du Dades. With towering red cliffs, winding streams and ancient Kasbahs, the Gorge du Dades is incredibly beautiful and a fitting start to this adventure tour. Overnight Gorges du Dades (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included)
Day 3: Todra Gorge After breakfast we head east and discover the stunning Todra Gorge with its 300m high cliffs towering above us. We will have an early lunch at the village co-operative where you can see and buy authentic, Berber, handmade rugs, kilims and carpets. The afternoon can be spent exploring the Gorge, walking through the Palmerie or trying our optional activity of Rock Climbing. Overnight Todra Gorge (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included)
Day 4: Sahara Desert Todra Gorge – Sahara Desert: Today we drive to Erg Chebbi where sand dunes signal the start of the awe inspiring Sahara Desert. Leaving our vehicle, we take a camel trek into the vast and silent Sahara desert to a Berber camp. This evening we enjoy local food in the camp and spend an amazing night sleeping under the Saharan stars – an experience of a lifetime. Overnight Berber camp (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included)
Day 5: Ouarzazate Sahara Desert – Ouarzazate: Leaving the desert, we travel through the verdant Dadès valley, along the route of 1000 Kasbahs, a beautiful landscape. We continue on to Ouarzazate, which African traders once used on their journeys up to Europe. It has also been used as a film set, for Alexander the Great, The Last Temptation of Christ and The Living Daylights. Overnight Ouarzazate (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included)
Day 6: Ait Benhaddou Aït Benhaddou – Marrakech: We head to Aït Benhaddou, a ‘fortified city’, situated along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech. It is situated on a hill along the Ouarzazate River and boasts some beautiful examples of kasbahs, some of which remain inhabited. Granted UNESCO World Heritage listing, the site had been the setting for many films including Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator. We then travel over the high Atlas Mountains on our way to Marrakech. Overnight Marrakech (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included)Day 7: Marrakech Marrakech: Enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech this morning with free time in the afternoon to explore independently. Within the rose-coloured walls of the medina you find a reality that is not that far removed from a film set: winding streets that open onto lush gardens and dark alleyways that lead to bustling souks. The focal point is the central square, the Djemâa-el-Fna, an extraordinary gathering point and market place. Full of colour, spicy aromas and traders, it is best seen in the evening when overflowing with food stalls, dancers, acrobats, fortune tellers, musicians and henna artists. Day 8: Taghazoute After breakfast in Marrakech, you will be escorted to the bus station by your guide, where he will help you onto the bus to Agadir. You will be met at Agadir bus station and transported to Taghazout. After lunch in Taghazout, you’ll spend the rest of the afternoon surfing and having a professional surf session. Day 9: Taghazoute After breakfast on the camp terrace, you’ll have an action-packed day of surfing, including another surf lesson in the afternoon. Overnight Taghazoute (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included)
Day 10: Marrakech Choose from one of our optional activities of surfing or horse riding, or just chill out on the beach this morning. Then you’ll take the bus back to Marrakech and spend your last night in the city! Overnight Marrakech (Breakfast and Lunch included)
