TOUR DESCRIPTION:
Day 1 D 2 nights in St. Lunaire-Griquet at the St. Brendan’s Motel
During our transfer to Saint Lunaire-Griquet near St. Anthony, we will have dinner and photo stops along the way.
Day 2 B D St. Brendan’s Motel overnight
At 9.00a.m. We depart for our tour of the Viking communities of Norstead and L’anse aux Meadows ( a Unesco Heritage site). We will spend some time in the orientation center followed by a guided tour of the site. You will then have time for exploring on your own. We board our bus and take a scenic drive to St. Anthony for lunch with time to browse. Drop by the Grenfell Centre and learn about some unique local history. On the return to hotel we will make a short stop at Dark Tickle where they make delicious local food items for purchase.
The Welcome Dinner will be served this evening at 7 p.m. at the Catch of the Day restaurant.
Day 3 Wed August 21st B 3 nights in Rocky Harbour at the Oceanview Hotel
We leave this morning at 9a.m. for Rocky Harbour. Along the way, we will stop at the Arches Provincial Park, plus other stops for photos and lunch. Check in and enjoy the rest of the day until the show tonight.
Tonight we have the Anchors Aweigh musical comedy night at 8 p.m.
Day 4 B Oceanview Hotel overnight
At 9.30a.m. We take a 1 hour bus ride to the Tablelands in Gros Morne Park (a Unesco Heritage site). We will stop at the Woody Point Research Centre, spending time before our guided tour of the area walking on the earth’s mantle. Transfer back to the hotel, the rest of the afternoon will be on your own.
We leave the hotel at 6.15p.m. for our Sunset Cruise and screech in with local musicians.
Day 5 B D Oceanview Hotel overnight
Today we have a 9a.m. departure for the 11a.m. Western Brooke Pond tour. There is a 45 min walk to the boat and back from the parking lot. If this is too much for you we offer the Bonne Bay cruise with Gros Morne sea views and other amazing sights. Transfer back to the hotel and the rest of the day is on your own until supper.
A lobster dinner will be served tonight at 7p.m. in the hotel.
Day 6 Sat August 24th B D 3 nights in Gander at the Comfort Inn
Departing at 8.30a.m.for Gander with stops, a stop in Grand Falls Windsor at the Salmonid Center for lunch on the deck overlooking the falls. Our “911” tour is later this afternoon in Gander.
Day 7 B L Comfort inn
Today we leave early to be dockside by 7.15a.m to board our ferry for the guided day tour of Fogo Island with your included lunch. This place is a favourite for me with the beautiful places to see including Joe Batt’s Arm. Return ferry is at 4.30p.m for the transfer back to the Comfort Inn hotel in Gander.
Day 8 B L D Comfort Inn
Today at 10.30a.m we leave for Twillingate. We cross Tickle and Runs on our day spent exploring this scenic area. There are many things to do. Tour the winery where we start the day with lunch, museums, the lighthouse and many gift shops. At 5p.m enjoy drinks on the deck at the theatre (not included), 6p.m. lobster dinner followed by the show 7-9p.m. Transfer back to Comfort Inn hotel in Gander.
Day 9 B D 2 nights in Marystown at the Marystown Inn
We will leave for Marystown today at 10a.m. Our drive will take us through Terra Nova National Park. During our drive we have stops along the way for photos and lunch. Dinner is at 7p.m in the hotel.
Day 10 B Marystown Inn overnight

France is where we are headed today, St. Pierre and Miquelon. Our ferry leaves at 9a.m so we depart the hotel at 6.50a.m sharp. We have a guided tour of the island and followed by free time to explore and to find a cafe for lunch. We will need to take the 5.30p.m ferry back.
Day 11 B D 3 nights in St. John’s at the Jag Hotel
Departing at 9.00a.m today we leave for our last stop, St. John’s. We will have a stop for photos and drive over to Bay Bulls stopping for lunch and a cruise to see whales and puffins. Arriving at the hotel by 5p.m. we check in and freshen up for our dinner this evening at 7p.m at the hotel.
Day 12 B L Jag Hotel overnight
Boarding our bus at 9a.m we have a city and area tour this morning; Torbay, Signal Hill, Quidi Vidi village, The Battery, Cape Spear and Petty Harbour for lunch. Then back to St. John’s at which time we say good bye to our driver and new friend. The rest of the day is on your own.
Day 13 B D Jag Hotel overnight
A day on your own for shopping, sightseeing, is George Street calling? The Rooms which is a very interesting museum is just a short walk from our hotel. Tonight our farewell dinner is at 7p.m.
Day 14 B
After breakfast today we transfer to the airport.
